Falling In Love With A Fox Girl
This poem is about a boy’s first love. He loves a magical forest creature! It’s about the events of ‘And All Her Paths Are Peace.’ Jessie is the 18-year-old protagonist. At the story’s start, Jessie’s best friend has left her. Ashleigh is the 'fox girl’ of the poem. Ashleigh is not half-girl, half-fox. Neither is she a blend of girl and fox; she’s simply a teenager whose face was magically transformed by a mall witch. She still has very human features, but the fox traits— thanks to the witch— make her look wild and feral. In the story, 19-year-old Ashleigh flees her arguing dad and a rough home life. She visits Jessie’s farmhouse for two weeks. They’re both so starved for friendship. She becomes Jessie’s new best friend. James is Jessie’s twin brother. He spends the first nine weeks of the covid pandemic playing video games in his bedroom. Then an actual girl who is not his sister walks into the house, and she has the face of a fox! James falls completely in love with
Oh Selena, how I think of you,
it makes me so blue.
You were a wonderful star,
to me, you're never far.
Your smile was bright,
it was like a light.
Oh Selena, you had great singing,
it was as pretty as a ring.
You've really touched my life,
what happened is more painful than a knife,
Oh Selena, I can't pick a favorite song,
it would take too long.
Oh Selena, I also get mad a lot,
I feel myself get hot.
What happened was so absurd,
it was the last thing you deserved.
Oh Selena, I often think of you,
and somehow I know you think of me too.
There once lived a young star,
known by people near and far.
She had a great smile,
nothing about her was vile.
This young star had a terrific voice,
for best star, she was a wonderful choice.
The star was as beautiful as a rose,
I don't see why she would have had foes.
But, she came to an untimely end,
it was like losing a friend.
I, like others, will never forget her,
the young star touched us forever.
Her name...Selena.
Howl, breezes of the Bannokravi,
past the cloistered rocks
and the lonely towers!
Flow, waters of the Jauparôz River,
between the looming cliffs
and the tree-studded hills!
Wash, splashing, shining river,
under gleam of sun or moon,
bring fish and leaf under falls.
Fly, birds of crag and trunk,
course the western winds and woods,
fly to food and pleasant nest.
Scurry, little squirrels,
and curious rodents of the wild,
take and feast on seeds and insects.
Run, slender, agile deer!
this leaf-decked verdant maze,
will not hide you any longer!
Fly, fly from danger,
fight the threats who pester you,
or fly to safety, to face them later.
The Hiatus. It is a much-dreaded time for many fans, as they will not get their fill of new episodes.
In the comments they cry,
They wail, they shriek, upwards to the sky:
Why?
Why, O Producers?
Why shall we wait
For weeks, and months
To see our darlings and heroes?
Why?
Why, O Producers,
Shall you leave us
Begging to witness
Where will our heroes go now?
Do not,
Do not leave us waiting,
Do not leave us scribbling away
To dawdle and return to work.
Please,
Please, Dear Producers,
Please share us your secrets,
And we will return great favours.
For you,
For you, Givers of Tales,
Brought us much joy.
Keep on,
Keep on, Artists,
